Mr. Thompson began his litigation career in the real estate and bankruptcy fields before shifting to complex personal injury litigation. Since joining the Law Office of Evan K. Thalenberg, P.A. in early 2016, Mr. Thompson has recovered millions of dollars in settlements and verdicts for his clients, including multiple seven-figure verdicts.
Born in Baltimore, Maryland and a Loyola Blakefield graduate, Mr. Thompson attended the University of Virginia where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2011. Mr. Thompson received his Juris Doctorate degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 2014.
Mr. Thompson has worked to develop strong relationships across the Baltimore community throughout his personal life and professional career with a focus on advocating on the behalf of others. He is deeply invested in the success of the City of Baltimore and its citizens. Through his work at the Law Office of Evan K. Thalenberg, P.A., Mr. Thompson is able to give a voice to the injured and is passionate about obtaining the best outcome for his clients. As a result of dedicated and successful representation of his clients, Mr. Thompson was selected to the 2019 and 2020 Maryland Super Lawyers Rising Stars list, an honor bestowed upon only 2.5% of Maryland’s lawyers. Mr. Thompson was also recognized by The National Trial Lawyers as a Top 40 Under 40 attorney in the category of Civil Plaintiff for the State of Maryland. He is also a member of the Maryland Association for Justice, American Bar Association, Maryland State Bar Association, and Baltimore City Bar Association.
Flowing from his passion for supporting the community, Mr. Thompson sits on the Board of Mentoring Mentors, Inc., a local non-profit organization. Mentoring Mentors envisions a community in which African American youth, regardless of background, geographical location, economic or social status, are valued by caring, loving, and engaging adults that are willing to invest in their growth and development. This is accomplished through the encouragement of pro-social behaviors and the introduction of a positive blueprint to inspire youth to become successful and productive adults that, in turn, serve other young people of color who face similar challenges.
In addition to his work advocating on the behalf of injured plaintiffs and serving his community, Mr. Thompson is certified in mediation.
Mr. Thompson is an avid golfer, enjoys live music, and resides with his wife, son, and dog in North Baltimore.
